PSE Ready to Shoot Stinger X 70# Compound Bow

The PSE Stinger is an excellent bow with a great price. It is on the lower end price range, but it is definitely a leader in this price range.  PSE is known for making excellent bows at a fraction of the price of its competitors. It is also worth mentioning that this bow is also called the Stinger X due to it’s X-Tech Split limbs which I will talk about later in the review.

Ready to shoot package

I am a huge fan of ready to shoot packages, especially in this price range.  It just makes everything so much easier.  You probably know by now how much of a pain it is to have to go out and buy accessories for your bow.  It can really be a pain and can be quite costly.  With that said, this bow comes with a sight, whisker rest, and everything else you need to get out and shooting.

These accessories on their own are pretty costly and it just does not make sense to go out and buy them separately.  I’ll be honest, these are not the best accessories, however, they will get the job done and are pretty high quality.  Sure, you can go out and buy these things on your own but expect to pay much more than the price of the bow. The image to the right is with all of the accessories attached

For those who would like to customize the bow, this is also an option.  The PSE is very easy to adjust and add your own accessories.  So adding on some other sights or changing out the rest is always an option.

X-Tech Split Limbs/SX Cam

The cam on this bow is highly adjustable.  If you have used any PSE products in the past, you have probably experienced the SX cam, which is what gives this bow the name Stinger X.  It is very user friendly and easy to set up and tweak to your settings.  You do not need a whole tool kit to make adjustments, nor do you need to go the pro shop.

The limbs are also very unique.  I would say they are some of the best limbs out there and are used on the majority of the PSE line.  You have to experience them for yourself to see what I am talking about.

Pros :
Best Limbs out there
Wide adjustment draw weight and length
Very High Quality for the Price
Cons :
Mid Range bow
Package comes with average accessories

Conclusion

This is an excellent bow for the money, and you really can’t go wrong with it.  The price is amazing and it performs much better than other bows in this price range.  I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a high quality bow on a budget.
